Tech Council joins the Carroll Business Path
Carroll Technology Council (CTC) President Andy Biller
announced that the organization is now an official partner in the Carroll Business Path at the CTC
Annual Kick Off meeting which was held at Carroll Community College recently. The Carroll
Business Path streamlines and supports small business start-up and development by coordinating
programs and services and pooling community resources; founding partners include the Carroll County
Department of Economic Development, the Miller Center for Small Business at Carroll Community
College, the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce and the Carroll County Small Business and
Technology Development Center.
President Biller said “It is only natural for the CTC to be part of the Carroll Business Path given that it
is the only countywide technology-focused business organization in Carroll. Our mission and our
membership are both very much in sync with helping new enterprises get established and use the best
technologies to advance and grow.”
Jon Weetman, Carroll County Department of Economic Development Administrator of Operations and
Small Business Development, said “The Carroll Business Path is proving to be a very effective
partnership in supporting new Carroll County small business ventures.
With the Carroll Technology Council’s business-focused leadership team and talented membership
base joining the Carroll Business Path we can now offer unparalleled business support in all critical
business development areas.”
Entrepreneurs are encouraged to sign up for an initial “navigator” meeting with Jon Weetman to enroll
in the Carroll Business Path. The meeting lasts about one hour and after the initial consultation a
customized business resource plan is developed for each entrepreneur. The plan will identify next steps
and valuable business development resources which will save entrepreneurs many hours of research.
