The regular meeting of the Freedom District Lions Club was held on April 8th at Celebration Hall of Messiah Lutheran Church.  The meeting was the annual Past District Governor Night.  Lions who have been a District Governor are invited for a night of fellowship.  Approximately 20 PDG’s from as far away as Kitzmiller, Maryland attended the event.  Entertainment was provided by the local Eldersburg Band “Crossfire”.  The band members are Tyler Atwell, Lead Guitar; Tyler Enslow, Bass Guitar; Patrick Komiske, Key Board; Josh Mosholder, Drums and Devon Nickoles on Vocals.  Crossfire will be performing at the Freedom District Lions Spring Fling on May 2nd at the Freedom District Carnival Grounds.  Come on out and see these local youth perform.         

    Later in the evening Lion C. Dale Keefer was presented an award by the Lions for heading up the once a month Friday Night Bingo at the Freedom District Fire Hall for 23 years.  In that 23 year period Lion Keefer was always the first to arrive and the last to leave.  His dedication truly personifies the Lions Motto ‘We Serve:.
